The Lighthouse Children’s Hospice is a medical charity. It receives no government funding and relies on donations from thousands of people. The hospice is for children with incurable illnesses.
We are building a hospital, which we hope to complete in 2018, but we already help children in their homes. In September 2013 we launched our mobile service and charity programme. Today, there are already more than 500 children under the care of the Lighthouse. Our team includes doctors, nurses, nannies, physiotherapists, play therapists, social workers, psychologists, lawyers, volunteers and administrators.
The Lighthouse looks after not only the children but their families too.
